i am so excited to share with you the first capsule of towels from OMA. over the past four years, i’ve found myself on many new adventures and created many female friendships. these totemic experiences opened my eyes to self love, the magic of being a woman , female friendships, and the unforgiving fury yet profound beauty of the sea. from these experiences came OMA. 

the impetus behind these towels is layered. the first is simple - i’ve noticed a lack of affordable yet meaningful art for our homes. secondly, working in creative, i see beautiful work by photographers , makeup artists , models etc. created through the narrative of a client. i want to share their talent in a way that’s authentic to them and hero them as our muse. lastly, i hope to celebrate women through our deep connection to the ocean. from the tropics to the coast of france, the ocean represents nutrients, growth, creation, reproduction, intuition — all also key signs of femininity . not only do the subjects of these towels celebrate the essence of womanhood - but the idea and creation of them was all spurred on by females. i am so grateful for the ones that helped me bring this idea to life. 

each of the nine towels are made in California. OMA will share with you a very small amount of towels, as the intention is that they should feel like a one of a kind piece of art in whichever home finds them.

this is my first time releasing a project like this this one. i’m not sure if anyone will take any interest in these towels - but if it’s one thing i've learned during these adventures i’ve embarked on, it’s that usually what we yearn for, lack, crave, desire is usually shared to some degree. we are never alone in it. so i hope, in trusting this, you all enjoy OMA's towel series and bring them to the beach, hang them on your wall, throw them on your couch or lay them between your boards as you go hunt for some waves.
